Where i should buy Philips & BenQ Digital Storage (DH-16W1S)

I am having dell dimension e521 desktop and in it the optical-drive of Philips & BenQ Digital Storage ( DH-16W1S) is neither reading nor writing the dvd’s and so iwant to buy a new drive of the same company or the other company which fix into the supply and data transfer plugs provided by dell

There are 2 connectors at the back of the drive unit.

  1. Serial ATA Interface Connector (SATA)

    7-pin Serial ATA male connector.

  2. Power Connector

  The drive has a DC power connector assembly, which consists of a 15-pin    shrouded, keyed, male power connector .

Hi and Welcome!

you can use any SATA DVD writer on the market.
Highly recommended are Optiarc AD724x series or Pioneer 216/217.
