Hello all. I have a confusing problem. I am running WinXP SP2 and I have 2 dvd drives mounted. One is a LG GSA H10N Dvd Ram, the other is a Pioneer DVR108 R/W. Whenever I boot XP from scratch there is never an issue. But if for some reason I need to reset or run a restart, the Pioneer just dissapears. Even off the start up screen. A check through bios results that the drive doesn't exist at all.
Once my desktop is up and running windows detects new hardware but can't seem to find necessary software from the installation disk. I'm pretty sure my jumper connections at the back of both units are correct (Both set to cable select?) and apart from this I am now out of ideas. Again if I turn the PC off entirely, then switch the system on again - Hey Presto - Pioneer's back. Could there be a possible glitch in the motherboard itself???
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
