I have a TDK Velo Writer 161040x Internal since about June 2003. Just as I'm about to hit the burn function in Nero 5, I get a blue screen. I can eventually burn discs, after a lot of screwing around with taking out the discs, ejecting the draw a few times, and on and on and on it goes.
I update to Nero 188.8.131.52. And now the cd burner is working fine. I can burn all sorts of discs.
Now when I burn an audio disc, the first seven or so seconds of the first track is missing.
I'm using Windows ME, with ForceAspi 1.7, and have totally cleaned out my puter with Norton Internet Security 2003, Adaware, Spybot S&D, Registry Mechanic, and still keep getting the same problems.
With the process of elimination, I can only now think that the driver i got with the unit is corrupt. I've searched all over the internet and cannot find the drivers to the unit. This has even included TDK's website.
Could someone Please let me know where I can get the drivers to this actual burner, as this problem is killing my sanity.
My system specs are WIN ME / 128 RAM / 1,7 gig processor.
