Prior to having the internet installed on my computer I had no problems what-so-ever ripping and backing up over 50 dvd orginal titles (region 4 DVD's), with Pioneer 106D Burner, DVDShrink 3.1.4 and as a last resort when Shrink fails (witch is almost never), DVDDecrypter 18.104.22.168 works like a tank... All without the need of a firmware update/flash or dvd region killer!
Now that I am online, all hells broken loose.
I cant use DVDShrink at all & DVDDecrypter keeps giving Authentication Errors, even after downloading and updating Firmware flash (FILE R6100106.107) from "http://pioneerdvd.rpc1.org/" and installing DVD Region Killer 22.214.171.124
Here are the errors as they appear;
DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
Failed to read file "D:\"
Copy Protection Error - The read failed because the sector is encrypted.
Title Authentication Failed!
Device: [1:0:0] PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-106D 1.06 ( D : )
Reason: Authentication Success Flag = FALSE
Key Finding Status = 0
After pressing OK on Decrypter it does some CSS cracking and gets on with it, till another "Authentication Error" sign pops up and so on and on and on..
When I go to check drive regions with "DVD Region Killer"
I get warning stating Drive D is not region free.
Current region 1
The drive is obviously locked in to region 1 witch was never an issue prior to having the internet installed
What do I do now?
Have I left somthing out?
Would a clean reinstalling of windows take me back to where I was?
Any help that would nudge me in the right direction or give kind of guidance would be greatly appreciated.
