Okay, I'm been creating .ISO images of all my games for quite a while now, but recently dropped my external HDD in a parking lot. I want to start backing up my games again, but this time...
I would like to know which filetype creates the most PERFECT copies possible; I don't care about the file size.
I've found some confusing information along the way on my search. They say .BIN files are exact copies sector by sector, but they still wouldn't copy protection information on the disc; why is that?
I've seen these file formats...
.NRG - Nero
.B51 - Blindwrite
.IMG - CloneCD
.RAW? Anyone heard of this?
Are there better ones??
EDIT: I'll be backing up PC, Playstation, and Xbox games if that is useful.
