The LiteON 52246S or 52327S are very good for their price. If you have the money then you could go for the Plextor Premium.
if you dont wanna spend that much money the Asus CRW5224A is also a good drive but less as the Premium.
ok so howmany protection dos the LITEON LTR-52327S defeat????????????
The LTR-52246S/LTR-52327S can handle as many protections as the Plextor Premium. However the Plextor Premium can write copies of Securom NEW 4.8 better than either LiteON when it is coupled with Blindwrite (using the Plextor Premium's VariRec technology). The Plextor Premium can also perform many more advanced tests than the LiteON i.e. Jitter, Beta e.t.c.

It's not drive dependent. You can do those tests with the Premium using PlexTools, and there's no such tool for LiteON.
ok so should i buy the ltr 52327s or notis it good for cactus DS 100 & 200what abt the other audo protections???
and almost forgot plex is off my budgeta sony may be in my grasp but is the Sony CDRW better then ltr 52327s:bow:
Sony is just a rebadged LiteON, so with the Plextor off the list I guess it's the LiteON LTR-52327S.
thanx for the advice "SIR CHRISO"i am off to buy the ltr 52327ssee ya

Lol, you're welcome. Hope you have fun with your new burner.
BTW, what is your current burner?
Its an LG 8400(40x12x40):Z with patched firmware for mt rainer support
Well the speed on the LG wasn't too bad but the LiteON is faster and probably one of the best CD-RW drives around.
The Plextor Premium has its "issues" backing up Safedisc 2.8-2.9.Some TLA# models can, some can't. Why?, I dunno....
AFAIK with the Plextor Premium TLA#0000 can't do SD 2.9 whereas TLA#0002 can.

I've read numerous posts about LG burners and their short life span so I would stay away from any LG burner m8. If you can't afford the Plex Premium, then take a serious look at the Asus 52x. Litey 52x would be my last option....
The only thing I can complain about LG its the high media requirements. I never liked ASUS drives, too noisy and with a high access time.
