You can’t compare Javascript with PHP; for one thing, PHP can’t create pop-ups (for example), and Javascript can’t update a MySQL table
Zo, please rethink your options…
As a scripting language I prefer PHP. Some time ago, I build a website for a friend of mine. I first used ASP, but since the hosting provider didn’t support ASP I had to rebuild the damn thin using PHP. I never worked before with either one of them, but I experienced that PHP is a lot easier to learn en lots clearer then ASP is.
So my advise for everybody starting with a scripting language: go for PHP. http//www.php.net is a good place to start!
(ps RMX and Igua: thanx for your time helping me out with PHP scripting ;))

PHP in combination with MySQL database has my preference, even though I don’t understand one bit of it

PHP… It’s the only one I have some experience in… It’s a lot like HTML if you look closely and easy to understand.
In spite of being an old git (37) I am studying at college. I did a small ammount of C++ programming and am now learning HTML. I do not see how you can compare the two: they are a totally different thing.
I really enjoyed C++ because it was challenging. If anyone can give me any advice or help or guide me to a site that does a good tutorial, I will be very grateful.
Thanks, and keep up the good work

A tutorial for what? C++ or PHP or HTML?
P.S. PHP rullez.!
I see many people saying that PHP is the best, but I see no-one actually code a PHP driven site… besides some small lines of code…
Where are your pages?
PHP files are being executed on the server so how do you want to see em?
Or do you only want to see the site it self?
If so, i can upload some crap of mine.
PHP I already know that site
I mean other sites…
What do you mean, you want to see sites made in php & mysql or you want to see sites that visitors from cdfreaks made with php & mysql?
