Not sure if this is the correct forum, but as I´m seeing this in DVD2one I´ll ask it here.
As stated above in subject line i some times find three types of subtitles in the same language.
Swedish
Swedish closed caption
Swedish forced

What is the difference?

  1. Swedish = the dialog in Swedish!
  2. Swedish Closed Caption = (usually) for Swedish viewers who are hard of hearing. Contains such extra details as <‘Phone rings’>
  3. Swedish Forced = you can’t turn them off. They are usually there so that you can understand what the guys from the flying saucer are saying;)

So how do you go about when you just get the option for english, english, english…

With no mention of closed caption or forced etc?

How do you know which one is which?

Select 'em all. There’s no charge!

(The amount of space taken by subtitles of a single language is so small as not to warrant consideration. Only if there are dozens of languages to discard will the space freed have any impact on the video quality).
