My new burner supports DVD-RAM. What is it and how can I use it to my benefit?
A dvd ram is like a really big floppy disk. You can just drag and drop files to it, instead of having to burn files to a dvd-r/rw
Also, it verifies the data while its burning so that its much more reliable than a normal recordable dvd or RW
You can’t play DVD-RAM discs in a DVD player unless it says that it supports them.
My Panny dvd recorder used dvd-ram. I have them in cartridges (so they look like big floppy disks). But when i need to use them in my pc (drive: LG 4167b) i just take them out of the cartridge and can edit the video on my pc.
