What is CSS protection?

I’d had problems copying a few DVD that I bought used from the video story that said unable to copy due to CSS protection, so I though it was something on rentals. But I just got the new Harry Potter DVD and it says the same thing. Thanks in advance.

Never mind, just saw the link, I missed it prior to posting.

Yes you’ll need a decrypter to back those movies up. Here is a wikipedia on DeCSS which is the oppisite but gives you an idea what it is.
