What I need is...!

A DVD that is

1 - Dual Layer
2 - Trustworthy (I am selling a product on DVD)
3 - That I can print a label on.

I want to be able to print onto discs as part of a business service, and dual layer discs are a necessity. It is proving a real problem though! The only printable DL disc I could find does not work in my drive (Datawrite).

Are stick on full face labels for DVDs a viable option?

I cannot seem to get printable dual layer discs that work on my drive, so I wonder if this is an option I should explore.

I could buy a new drive but the one I have is brand new, and also apparently Datawrite might not be too trustworthy anyway.

Any suggestions wecomed, cheers!

1) not always compatible . in fact without a firmware update mostly incompatible with most drives
2) DL reliablity has not been determined. my guess will be somewhat like RW in that the lesser reflectance will result in a much shorter data life
3) Labels further shorten disc life. printables also have been problematic from the prodiscF01 that have the printable surface come apart to the ritek g's that are no longer readable.

Get yourself some Verbatim printable Double Layer media.
Best quality DL media you can find...
