There’s nothing new in that !
It’s very well known that the Memorex is a rebadged LiteOn,
that is why it’s regularly being flashed with the LiteOn FWs and so on

Yep and it’s only the small mainboard with the eject button and volume knob that is marked LTR-32123S-A (if I remember correctly ;)) and this PCB is identical for all models newer than LTR-32123S. The large PCB containing the controller chips is not marked if I’m right.

No, there is only one big mainboard (visible at least) which has all chips on it as well as volume and eject button.

Do we have any brave-man do the same with serial 5 and 6 mediatek serial… ???

Hey, which series are these chips?
Bigger chip: MT1518E 0226-ARS
Smaller chip: MT1516E 0228-CPB
I guess, it’s 5 (judging by 151)…
Which are of 6 series?

And i have no problem with opening another device, but since i’m already stocked up with CD burners (5 internal, 1 external), i’d buy next one only if it will come up free or no more then $5.

Strange that, i opened my Liteon and it said Memorex in there
