Well just before I went to reinstall my OS, I was picking around in BIOS and I changed the IDE "arrangement" to auto instead of "combined" or "enhanced" and it seems to make it better.
I dont have any more 16x discs left, but I do have some TY dvd+R 8x, which burn at 16x on 2 of my burners. Heres the text, what do you pros think:

Not 16x but they aren't rated at 16x, so thats close enough right? The 16x verbatim were only hitting 13x before.
