I noticed on the clonecd system tray icon there is a hide cdr media. What exactly does it do?
This is used to run backup copies protected with ATIP. ATIP are hardware infos which can’t be copied and activating this option hides them so the program will run.
The ATIP (Absolute Time In Pre-groove) can be read by cd-burners only.
There is protected software out on the market that use this check to detect cd-burners.
If you have a notebook or computer system with a cd-writer only this small software hides the ATIP information for the copied ATIP protected software.
The ATIP check is most likely used with other, read better, copy protection(s).
