C and D can't be considered separately. Degradation of the burn is necessarily degradation of the media!
Besides, checking for degradation needs further scanning, at regular intervals. Personally that's my main purpose for scanning.
A is in theory false, as the PIE/PIF figures depend on the burner/firmware/strategy as much as on the media. In real-world, it's not a clear cut.. in certain conditions it can be more or less true (for example with different batches of the same disc model).
E is 100% nonsense. :bigsmile:
This subject is far more complicated than these simple, reductive answers, though. There are many, many variables. Better talk about some real-life examples...
