What chipset are these?

inside my liteon cdrw are the media tek chips.
mt1508e and mt1516e

is this a 3 or 5 series chipset burner ?

thanks.

Its easier to tell if you just tell us the model number of the drive!

I think that is a 6-series but I am not sure.

Here is a quick guide:
LTR-XXXX#X where # is the chipset.

For example, the LTR-48126W is based on the MediaTek 6-series chipset.

Most likely that’s a 5 series burner since it has the same chipsets as mine in LTR-40125S @48125W

its a 32123S.
i have successfully upgraded it with the xsu1 firmware to a 401248 speed.
if they use the same chips will it be possible to convert it to a proper 40125S so i can use the better firmwares ?

thanks.

I don’t think it could be possible with yours. Although it’s worth taking a look at the other pic I recently displayed here

It’s still a mistery for me but mine’s most likely 32125W
