Goodday, just got my 1st dvd recorder WH-HDD160HDMI.
Very nice to actualy record the programs now, always had a video recorder which is about 20 years old (still working).
In the manual it claims that it can do timeshift (as DSTV PVR decoder/recorder), its says it buffers the video signal for an hour which means you can just watch and then if u want u can pause/ play real time programs.
Now in this case when i press the Timeshift button i just get a picture in the corner showing no operation. It says in the manual "Timeshifting is a technique of recording television/satelite/cable transmissions etc. for later viewing after actual broadcast time, to provide a buffer for fast forwarding through commercials."
The problem is that it only does timeshift with the antenna input signal and nothing else. All I am going to use is the RCA plug which comes from the DSTV decoder.
Either i am stupid, the recorder needs new firmware or its faulty(the recorder is 1 day old). Also who is the maker of wharfedale, i cant find the website anywhere?
Thanx in advance.
