With random access times almost 2x slower than a Raptor, this drive will never “feel” faster than a Raptor. 90% of the excessive number of tests in that review are nothing more than read and write transfer rate tests. For workstation OS and applications, assess times are most important, not transfer rates.

Bleah, the test is full with synthetic benchmarks, but 3 tests are real, the load time was measured with the old trusty stopwatch: system boot, Doom3 and Far Cry. The performance is average. :S
