Well it’s kind of weird. First problem is that instead of DVDRW Drive it says CD Drive.

Second there is no recording tab …

And then …

But it reads CDs and DVDs perferctly. Just blank ones do not. And it don’t burn them …

:frowning:

I get this error trying to burn a DVD … “No Seek Complete” …

:frowning:

And I just bought 25 pack of DVDs …

try the folowing

1.obtain & install latest motherboard chipset driver

2.in device manager expand “ide ata/atapi controllers” and right click the correct ide channel (the one the burner is attached to) and click uninstall and restart for windows to reidentify the ide channel & its attached drives

3.the solution in this kb article is for another issue but it might do the trick

Why should a capp software like explorer show you anything about a BLANK DVD media?
Recordable DVDs are not supported genuine by W OS’ - you need a proper burning app to use them anyway.

That visual change DVD-RW and CD-Drive is just a minor bug into windows, not yet solved by m$…
