Western Digital today officially announced its WD Blue and WD Green solid state drives, the first WD-branded SATA consumer SSDs. Earlier we reported that the SSDs were already accidently mentioned in an interview.

Western Digital WD Blue Specifications 1000GB @$299.99
Now if I can just cough up that kidney… lol. This is a good start that WD is willing to make Green SSD. This will force other makes to rethink the price gauging they are doing to consumers.
