Any comments on this week’s 320 MB drive for $99? Should I wait for a better deal on a larger drive?

Not bad for a retail drive. Only bad part is that most of WD HDD are 1 yr warrantees now. Wonder why, and Maxtor is part of Seagate now. I’m waiting for those 750GB to come down in price.

While it’s a good drive for a current system, it’s not future proof-- if you plan on upgrading your system anytime soon, most new motherboard chipsets will only support one channel for PATA, which means two devices max— which in most cases are optical drives.
