Wave or Flac files?

Which is better to convert cds to Wave files or Flac files.Any Ideas? Thanks

WAV is simply a container for the PCM audio extracted from the CD.

FLAC losslessly compresses that same PCM data and has the ability to very the integrity of the audio data using, I believe, an MD5 checksum. Added to that, FLAC is easily taggable, eg. using foobar2000, and you can rip directly to FLAC using EAC or dbPowerAmp to name but two.

The Sansa Fuze plays FLAC files.

Great you have answered my Question as i’m a bit behind with all this new Techo jargon. i’ll start coverting now with Exact Audio converter and playing them with QuuxPlayer seems to be working great. And i’ll try the other players too Cheers:
