-100 to Netflix and -10 to Warner

Supposedly, Netflix might be passing the savings (implementing the delay window means cheaper disc purchases from Warner) on to the customer in the form of more streaming of instant viewing content. I’ll believe it when I see it.

Otherwise, this deal just wreaks and will probably lead to more people pirating Warner new releases, not buying DVD’s like they hope it will force people to do.

Warner Bros. stinks like the RIAA, again keeping the haves from the havenots. I hope Netflix gets with redbox and sues the crap out of the studios for unethical practices.

No problem, I’ll just rent the new releases at the local video store for a dollar.
Warner Bros. are idiots.

This kinda sucks but then again the biggest reason why I use netflix is for the wide variety selection and not just the latest and greatest releases. I wouldn’t be surprised if Blockbuster had a hand in this as well and I have no love or loyalties for them. Even though it’s definitely not an ideal option, I think that Netflix had to go this route. They could try to fight it with Redbox but I wish them all luck with having any real success with that. The fact is that warner can choose what they want to do with their property. Also as mentioned above this might have a little bit of an upside. I can wait an extra month for most newer movies given the quality of acting in most newer releases.
