Has anyone had success in backing up NWN or Warcraft III with the Lite-On 32123s as reader and writer?

I currently have a Pioneer DVD model 116 but it cannot read subs.

I have the latest version of CloneCD and latest firmware for the 32123s.

Here are my specs:
Athlon XP 1800
512MB 2100 DDR RAM
Windows XP Pro.
GeForce Ti200
LiteOn 32123s
Pioneer DVD 116

I have burned about 14 coasters using various settings found on the board.

If you have had success with the LiteOn 32123s as reader and writer, please post your settings. I would be GREATFUL!

Thanks.

Finally after a “Baker’s Dozen” of coasters a working copy of Warcraft III happily plays away in my DVD drive!!

The solution you ask??

CD-Mate… Used the CD to Image option, clicked on the Wizard button and chose the default Securom 1/2 settings from the drop down list. Used 8x read instead of MAX and wrote image with 8x.

Result: PERFECT copy. And…this was after I used the “original” disk to install game on my PC.

I used the Lite-On 32123s as the reader/writer and played the copy in my Pioneer 116 DVD player.

If it works for WCIII, it will almost certainly also work for NWN.

Well here’s a weired one for yous.

When I copied War3 with cd-mate useing Warfarin settings it works fine in the computer I copied with. I have a Lite-on 32123S and Pioneer DVD Slot.

But when I take it to any other computer it dosn’t work, is there something on the computer I copied it with make it work?

Can the following profile be used for the 32123S:

[CloneCD ReadPrefs]
ReadSubData=1
RegenerateData=1
ReadSubAudio=0
AbortOnReadError=0
FastErrorSkip=0
ReadSpeedData=0
ReadSpeedAudio=0
IntelligentBadSectorScan=0

NoErrorReport=0
FirstSessionOnly=0
AudioQuality=0
[CloneCD WritePrefs]
DontRepairSubchannelData=0
AlwaysCloseLastSession=1

Here a really weired on for you.

I used my Lite-On 32123S with CD-Mate Securom 1/2 Settings, 8x/8x, it works fine in the computer I used to copy it. Take it to any other computer and it dosn’t work.

CD-Rom: Pioneer DVD-103R
CD-RW: Lite-On 32123S

Now I was my work computer which has a Lite-On 24102B used CloneCD 4.0.1.10 with the correct profile. It works fine in everyone’s computer exptec the above on with the 32123S CD-RW.

What the hell is going on.
