I have an ye olde HP Pentium IV personal computer that is connected to the television in the living room. It's used for occasional internet and videoclip playback.
It's internal soundcard is only able to produce stereo sound and i'd like to connect it to one of the Coaxial inputs on my surround sound reciever, so it can handle ac3 and whatnot sounds in beautiful surround sound.
For that i need a PCI Sound card with SPDIF Coax output. I can find plenty of soundcards with a Toslink (optical) output, but can't seem to find one with a built-in SPDIFX Coaxial connector.
I am aware there are Toslink > Coaxial interfaces, but they need their own power supply as well. I'd rather have a sound card able to produce AC3 via Coaxial output.
