I rip movies from DVD to ISO using DVDShrink, and when I play the ISO with VLC media player, the volume is way too quiet. If I go play a wav file, it sounds fine. How do I fix that?
First determine what is causing the problem:
Is it also a low volume when you use other playback software or a standalone playback device?
If I play the disc in DVDShrink, it sounds fine. Once it's ripped to ISO, VLC plays it quietly, even though it says 100%.
Where does it say 100%? At the top where it says Audio, what device do you have selected? Under Tools/Preferences/Audio what do you have for "default volume" and "output"? There are also some options if you select "all" under show settings.
