Vista wont read my burnt dvds

hey, im new to the forums and i need you guy’s help. my laptop runs on windows vista home premium and i burnt some of my datas on to a dvd with cyberlink power2go, and ashampoo ive done it 5 times already, the burn is successful but when i put the dvd in my dvd drive in my laptop it wont read anything, it says please insert a cd in E:. i tried running some of the cds burnt in my old comp and they work just fine, its just the data i burned in the dvd thru my laptop, can not be read by my laptop. why is that? is there any solution for this? thanks in advance guys appreciate it

Try burning them with Imgburn.

With Vista make sure to format the DVD disc toMastered.
Some software automatically does this & some doesn’t.
Just try to open a blank disc in Windows Explorer & the option will come up.Do the dropdown for " Show Formatting options" the Next.
You should now have a “desktop.ini” file on the disc.
It’s possible that’s not the problem but it sometimes is with Vista.
