Vista 64 protection

I’ve just installed Vista 64, and I’m using a trial version of Norton 360 virus / firewall etc.

Does anyone out there have a recommendation for a better suite of virus protection / firewall and spyware protector. I also have Windows Defender working in the background.

I know McAfee and CA are not Vista 64 compatable.
I hate using norton because of past issues with resource hogging, but Norton 360 seems to be working ok so far.

Have you tried ClamWin for your anti-virus?

Doesn’t say anything about Vista 64 compatable.

“ClamWin is a Free Antivirus for Microsoft Windows 98/Me/2000/XP and 2003”

Nod32 is working fine for me on Vista X64

Well I am using ClamWin right now on Vista64.

thanks for the heads up, it’s just that their website didn’t say anything about vista…

I prefer Kaspersky.
Version 7 is pretty neat.

I like Kapersky also. It never let me down, I have been using it for about 18 months.

Thanks for the heads up, I went to the Kapersky site. They are Vista 64 compatable, and I can get a 30 day license. In a week when Norton 360 expires, I will give them a chance.

Thanks…

You will be very happy you did I am running kaspersky on a 64 bit OS and it works great you can’t beat this program it’s by far the best protection for a PC IMHO!!

yes it is vista 64 ultimate

Is it a 2-way firewall?
