Hi, can anyone help, my system crashes after installing a virtual drive.
My normal drive set-up is C = hard drive, D = CD burner (master), E = CD ROM (slave).
When I add a virtual drive using either Daemon Tools or Alcohol everything works fine,
I can mount, unmount images with no problems. Here's a screenshot of the configuration
using Daemon Tools to add a virtual (stealth drive)screenshot1you can see that
the SCSI drivers are detected and everything works fine. However during the very
first re-boot the system blue-screens (too fast to be read) and the only way back to the
desktop is by using F8 (last good startup configuration) when I do get back I get this
screenshot2 the virtual drive is gone, and Daemon Tools has to be re-installed and setup
all over again. I've tried unmounting/ disabling the virtual drive before re-booting but It
still crashes. The problem is identical using either Daemon or Alcohol.... FUBAR.
(using XP_SP1), thanks for any help.
