ViewSonic makes a netbook, but why?

I just posted the article ViewSonic makes a netbook, but why?.

ViewSonic will soon release an uninspired, overpriced, me-too netbook. It’s a lesson in how not to create and market a product.

ROTFLMAO.

The truth is that 50% of products on the market are like this.

a 10-inch, 1080-by-600 resolution screen, which for some reason ViewSonic says is 16:9 widescreen (do the math)
I’ve done the math, and 600 x 16/9 = 1066.666… so that sounds about right to me.

Unless of course the actual specs for the screen is 1024x600 in which case it falls a little short of 16:9.

Yup, my bad. It’s 1024x600 – updated and added link – 1.707 compared to 1.778

This netbook definitely sounds like it’s too little too late. You’d think a company would want to come out with a blow-your-mind product with their first entry into a new product category.
