If jpg and jpeg are the same why can I not show a dvd of very old photographs on TV? There are no movies on the dvd. The dvd is in jpg format.
Possibly a limitation of your player? Have you tried burning the contents of the dvd onto a new one, but rename the files with a .jpeg extension?
Just because a file end with .jpeg or .jpg does not mean it is a standard jpeg file. I bet if you opened the particular file in mspaint and saved it, as a jpeg, under a different name, the new file would play on your player.
