Hi, I am new to this subject. My wife and I have accumulated many movies and storage is becoming a challenge. I would like to archive all these movies to my PC so we can “easily bring up a menu of movies” and play selected movie on our TV. Currently I am using “1Click DVD Copy 5” to burn movies and have not had any problem copying to disc. I have experimented with one movie and copied it to the hard drive and it is .vob, .ifo files, but I do not know how to convert files to play on PC or TV. Most of our movies are about 4 G of memory and given our large inventory, I probally will have to have some external memory storage capability. I am an older guy so am kind of taking baby steps on this subject and any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Danny 
There is no conversion necessary unless storage space becomes an issue. You can watch the movies from your hard drive with any number of media players. VLC, http://www.videolan.org/vlc/, is very good. Just point it to your Video_TS folder and open/play.
KMplayer is another, http://kmplayer.en.softonic.com/.
Something with more bells and whistles is XBMC, http://xbmc.org/, which might be more than you’re looking for.
Thanks Whappo, I downloaded the VLC software and am now currently watching the copied movie on my PC. I didn’t need to do any file conversions or anything. Great tip. I have a new tv and am now in the process of linking my pc to my tv. Danny
