Video Capture USB/Firewire

Any advice on which of the Video capture Hardware is best ? I’m looking at the ADS Instant Video, Pinnacle Studio Moviebox, Plextor Convert X, and the Compro Videomate Live. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Don’t know much about this, but I do know that I’d only use USB if it is version 2, since 1.x has too little bandwidth to deal with this kind of data stream.

Actually, video can be streamed over USB 1.x without a single problem. The bandwith of USB 1.x is 12mbit, which of course isn’t that high, but still high enough to stream DVD quality video (9000kbps at max). The thing is, that the video stream has to be (real time) encoded in the USB box. If this is the case, USB 1.x can do… but ofcourse, USB 2 or FireWire (A/B) is better for such a task, as uncompressed video could be handled pretty well!
