Could someone please advise how I can cature and compress a 2.5 or 3 hour VHS video tape onto a 4.7Gb dvd discI have no problems capturing up to 90 mins using Pinnacle Studio 9.but would like to copy some of my old vhs moviesThank you ckikka
not really worth the effort since it will look like crap... dvd 720 lines vhs 300 so it will be grainy. nerovision3 allows capture to hd and will then allow a lower bitrate to be set to make longer movies. not worth the effort tho.
I have converted dozens of VHS to DVD's, using an ADS Pyro AV/Link, and Adobe Premiere, and the results are at least as good as the original VHS tape. I've even compressed 3hrs of vhs to 1 dvd, and the dvd plays and looks just fine.
i use my standalone recorder to do this its quick and simple and you can get up to 6 hours of vhs on a disc i usually edit the dvd in my pc using tmgenc dvd author afterwards for profesional results and to add menues
