Been with Verizon for 3 years, wonder why they are pushing this now!?!

Why is Verizon pushing this now? Its part of a plan: when you are trying to take over the world, ala Microsoft, you want to kill off your competition slowly (for large competitors) and quickly (for small competitors) and lock in users at highest possible prices without causing a revolt. That means watch the marketplace to see where people are headed, then give them a gentle nudge off the cliff. Thats how it works.

i employed and have very good income; had earlier done estimate for adding a data plan and for me att has cheaper plan through employer, though can’t afford, don’t want data plan now; been verizon customer for years, if verizon forces data plans, simple answer, i’m gone (break on through to the other side)

I know that there are a lot of people out there that are not happy with Verizon’s new data plan, I found a very good alternative that has saved me a lot of money. It’s called Straight Talk and it runs on Verizon’s network nationwide so I still get the signal quality but I didn’t have to sign a two year contract. I pay $45 per month for unlimited talk, texts and data but you can also pay $30 per month for 1000 texts, 1000 texts/MMS and 30MB of data and unlimited 411 calls if you prefer. There are only 8 phones to choose from but there are some nice ones like the Samsung Finesse touchscreen and the R451 qwerty phone.
