I have a strange problem after upgrading my 4163B to A103. Whenever I burn a DVD from an existing ISO image Nero (220.127.116.11 and 18.104.22.168a) gives me a verification error.
Careful analysis of two cases shows that between 4 and 6 bytes are corrupted (different) on the burned DVD. Distance between corrupted bytes is always 16 bytes. Apart from these differences between the original image and the copy on the DVD the DVD media reads fine. Scary!
I've reproduced the effect on two different 4163. Flashing back to A102 solves the problem. No verification errors any more.
Computer is a ASUS A8V with Athlon64 3000. The burner is connected as master and is alone on the respective IDE controller.
