Verbatims will work very well on your Pioneer (either the 2.4x or 8x ones will be fine).

Pioneer drives burn DL excellently, you picked well.

As for working on the 360, I don’t have a 360, but I should think, given that they’re the best discs you can get, that they’ll be fine.

am form uk so will the disks work on my xbox 360 Hitachi GDR-3120L Drive

#4

If yeah am goin to buy them now

#5

They should be fine.

After you get the discs, if by any chance you do have a problem with playing them on your 360, then try posting in our Console forum, where you’ll get specialised help from fellow 360 owners.

#6

Ok thanks but when i get Pioneer 116 what can i dowid it

#7

do i plug it in pc but a cd in it and then use imgburn and burn it and play it on xbox

You may be better off starting a thread entitled “How to back up my XBox 360 games?” - or even better, doing a forum search, as there’s plenty of info to be found on the forum on how to do that.

#9

I know how to burn xbox 360 and had them working with Ritek disks so what you mean by Backingup xboxgames

#10

OK, if you’ve had success with RiTEK DL discs (I’m amazed :p), then just use the same method with your new Verbies.

#11

so when i my vioneer 116 is here do i put th verbie cd in then burn the .dvd file and play the game

#12

Anyone?
…so what you mean by Backingup xboxgames
We mean that we can only help with backing up games that you own.

#14

Ah ok so if i download a game i can save a copy of it if i lose the original

#15

You can do what you like but we can’t help by dishing out advice for illegally-distributed Xbox360 games. Whether you bought the original and lost it; doesn’t matter.

#16

i told him to get that burner lin :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m afraid not. This drive is too “old”.

The only Verbatim/MKM dual layer media code supported by this drive is MKM 001 [see the part highlighted in yellow]. The other media codes are for media that you will never see branded as Verbatim, and are strongly discouraged [highlighted in green]. Notice that the 8x Verbatim media code, MKM 003, is NOT one of those other codes.

Also, as you can see, all the dual layer discs supported by your drive are only supported at 2.4x. If you were to use MKM 003 in this drive, the drive would use a default strategy and write at a slow 2.4x, for which MKM 003 was NOT developed.

You’re better off sticking with MKM 001 [2.4x rated Verbatim] until you get your new drive installed.

The Pioneer DVR-116 WILL support the 8x Verbatim discs well, however.
