I’m not convinced that DL media is reliable. I’ll be sticking with SL and DVD-RAM for most of storage needs instead.

DL discs still cost too much. I don’t care burning at 2.4x but give me a cheaper DVD+R DL!!! :frowning:

All my DL burns (2 of them) have been flawless. What more could you ask for? :g

I’ve only purchased 1 3-pack of DL and it was from Newegg for $25.00 with a $10.00 Verbatim rebate. At net $5.00 per disk, I felt it was worth it. All three burned flawlessly with my Plextor PX-716SA and play on all players available to me (my Malata, Sony), my son’s Sony and my dad’s Denon.

maybe this is just a myth you hear on the net, but doesn’t the speed you burn a disc at effect the overall quality?
