I bought some Verbatim 4x +R DVDs at a good price - made in Japan. They also had slightly cheaper 4x +R Verbatim DVDs (printable) but made in Singapore.
Which is a better one to buy considering minimal price difference?

Japan = TY
singapore = MCC
Japan wins in my book, but it depends on the drive.

Can you explain the bit about the drive please? I have 411S with latest firmware
Different drives treat various media in different ways. TY is best in most drives, especially the 411S. The MCC is fine too, but if TY is close to the same price, it’s a better choice.
with DVD+R
from best to worst
TY
MMC
RICOH
TY is the best and MMC is good too
Ricoh is okay but the biggest problem people have is the media varies from spindle to spindle and brand to brand…
are there many other DVD+R media out there i forget its late.
