Verbatim DVD+R DL (Made in Singapore)

Quick question, I’m going to be using these DLs for burning Apps/Games, so would it even matter if I changed the booktype to DVD-ROM?

Thanks in advance.

Wow, I was expecting at least one reply…

It won’t hurt to change booktype to DVD-ROM. Whether it helps depends on what drive will be used to read the disc.

I thought most modern burners automatically bitset +R DL media.

I’m using my Lite-On DVDRW LH-20A1L for the burns.

Arachne’s review of the Lite-On LH-20A1H shows that the drive “will as default write DVD+R DL media with DVD-ROM BookType.”

Yours should be similar.

So, my drive “should”. You’re not sure? lol =P. That’s a waste of a 2 dollar disc if it doesn’t =P.

Your LiteOn supports bitsetting to -ROM for +R DL media.

The problem is that there’s no direct link in the forums that I can find to information on your specific burner (20A1L), such as a review on it. I looked on the front page and inside the Liteon/Sony DVD burner subforum, but couldn’t find anything directly related to your question. I’d suggest you look there.
