Never ever…

And I would say the data on these discs is more likely you ware worried about.

Burn the data at least on two different media types, and re-burn it every 5 years…

Exactly - use at least 2 different brands (e.g. Verbatim & Falcon or Verbatim & Taiyo Yuden) and then store them separately.

Of all the blank dvd’s i have tested “Verbatim dvd +R” is the best.
Judging from Nero Cd-DVD speed.
Rarely PIE reaches - 16 and PIF - 3.
TY disc etc are not available in Delhi.
Writex quality has went down since last year. I always had bad luck regarding Moser baer.
Sony sometimes gives amazing results other times not.
Verbatim DVD-R is great too however its PIE and PIF score increases alarmingly after 4GB mark.

Best idea is to test disk quality every 6 months for old cd/dvds , if PIE/PIF scores increases then its good idea to take back.
