I thought I hallucinated at the price, but it’s less than a buck apiece for true DL 8x. I have never seen it that low. Probably it’s MIS, but you know for sure only if you buy it in store.

Thanks, Coconut! Of course I live 50 miles away from the nearest one in Ohio, which means it’s too far away to drive but I still have to pay sales tax if I order online:doh:

Oh well, ordering 4 will bring it to under $1/disc shipped.

B&M have gradually reduced their shelfspace of disc media of all types while prices are typically higher than online (as with most things). Expect this trend to continue. I think that DL media should find a way of bringing it’s price down further or it might end up in the unenviable position of (one day) being supplanted by BD media which has similar price points and comparatively steeper price cuts (thanks in part) due to flash media’s technology evolution. You cannot discount the possibility of using hard drives themselves for backup purposes based upon the price per gb & longevity.

It’s been under a buck a piece for 8x Verb DL several times on Amazon recently. The prices have been dropping over the last few months.

All the 8x discs are MIS. You only might get MII with the 2.4x discs, and even those have become rare. Verbatim scaled back the use of DL MII because of so many customer complaints and a drop in revenue.
