Hello my friends,

Have someone already tried these discs? What is your opinion? Very good, good or bad?

http://www.verbatim-europe.co.uk/en_1/product_cd-r-azo-data-vinyl-printable_5_0_16864.html

http://www.verbatim-europe.co.uk/en_1/product_cd-r-extra-protection-colours_5_0_17157.html

About all current range of cds verbatim: what is the best in your opinion?

TIA

First one should be decent - it’s an actual Verbatim/Mitsubishi disc. You can tell because of the AZO.

The second one is probably CMC Magnetics, which is usually subpar (in mine and others’ experiences).

If you can get them, the DataLifePlus CD-R’s are also AZO. Here’s an example at a store here in NYC: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/300526-REG/Verbatim_94523_CD_R_700MB_DataLifePlus_Disc.html.

Hi,

Can you tell me if these Verbatim CD’s are the same as the ones you are referring to except that these have printable surface? http://www.amazon.com/Verbatim-94755-DataLifePlus-Printable-Recordable/dp/B0001LS35W

Also, are these Verbatim CD’s below likely to be from CMC Magnetics or otherwise be of lower quality? Or…are they probably a good value? I had always had a high opinion of Verbatim CD’s but the last batch I got had several ones that went bad in a few months. It turned out that they were from CMC Magnetics. Thanks. http://www.amazon.com/Verbatim-94691-Branded-Recordable-50-Disc/dp/B00029U1DK/ref=cm_cr_pr_pb_t

[/QUOTE]Yes, those are the same but printable.

They are not of the AZO high-quality type. Whether they are CMC Magnetics or another manufacturer such as e.g. Moser Baer I cannot say, since this has varied over time.

Actually, I have come up with another question about these. In checking out the prices on Amazon, BHphoto, Rima and elsewhere, the white printable top Verbatim CD’s in this model are less expensive everywhere than those which do not have the printable tops. Can someone tell me why that is? I would have thought it would be the other way around. Thanks.

Yo TW1-

One would think so - but there are exceptions - and you have just found a few.

Suggestion - buy the most reasonable type that fits your needs-eh!! :iagree:
