You could try burning @6x to see if you could lower the PIE. The PIF and jitter are nice, can’t really say it’s a bad batch just fugly, did it pass a TRT scan?

maybe your 1655 would do a better job, I don’t know. Is the PIE any lower @8x? if not 6x probably won’t be that good either.

Yea, my BenQ 1655 does do a better job with MCC 03RG20! My Samsung burners absolutely hate it. @8x the PIE was marginally lower.

Here is the TRT from the 12x burn!

Yeah, that was my biggest complaint against MCC 03RG20, High PIE :a, except for the MIUAE variety, still the jitter and PIF are very good with MIT, frustrating I know. Your TRT is not lookin good.

I did a TRT of the same disc in my SH-S223Q!

Hmmm! I did not know that the UAE MCC 03RG20 had lower PIE than the MIT MCC 03RG20! I would have bought some at OfficeMax. I tend to use DVD+R, b/c of the high PIE.

Check out the 24x burn in my sig. I have about 500 MIUAE not all of them are this low but at 8x none of them exceed 35 max.

Wow! At 24x that is near perfect…I would have to use Yuden T02 to come that close to 100 and with low PIE and PIF…

Do you have any miUAE MCC 03RG20 scans? I would love to see them…

I would still say go with the MCC004 it’s more consistant, as you can see they are excellent too!! I just hope it stays available in the USA

You do realize that the Samsung 223 series aren’t considered to be the best drives, right? If you want a good Samsung, move up to the 243 or down to the 203.

Hi negritude,

I have a Samsung SH-S203N in a box that i plan to sell. I guess i will take it take it out and put in SH-S203N in my Core Duo Box or i may buy a SH-S243N.

I just bought $150.00 in media so i do not have much money yet.

Yet what about all these bad BenQ burned TRTs in my BenQ 1655?

Thanks
