Yep. I saw those today. That's right, those Verbatim cakeboxes are "made in China" ones.
But there were also available the 20 slim case packs there.
And I could hardly believe my eyes seeing "made in Japan" printed on them.
Well, I just couldn't resist breaking the packing - to my surprise the disc's dye showed to be Phthalocyanine.
" Damn, what if these CDRs are manufactured by Mitsui Toatsu ? " - was my instant thought, lol.
No, of course not. These as usual are :
Drive Type = CD-RW
Disc Type = CDR (A-)
Material = Phthalocyanine
Lead In = 97:26:66
Lead Out = 79:59:71
Nominal Capacity = 702.82MB (79m 59s 71f/LBA:359846)
Manufacturer Maybe = CMC Magnetics Corporation
Smart-Burn Speed Limit = Wrt(52X),Rd(12X)
Why "made in Japan" then ? Btw, forgot to mention their reorder # which is 43348.
What a FRAUD !!! Anybody reading these lines, beware of these CDRs, 'coz they aren't what's written on their packs.
OC-Freak, the ones in cakeboxes looked a bit differently to me, to be more exact,
the sn on the ring was printed differently compare to the one I have here.
Perhaps, those are the Mitsubishi w the 97m 34s 23f ATIP ?
