COMMENTS
What can I say? Very low PI, almost non-existant PO, probably the perfect DVD-R disc! These new 8x DVD-Rs are definetly up there with the best. Thanks Mitsubishi/Verbatim!

Thanks for this.
I was just going out today to buy some 4x Verbatims for $2.99 now I’ll go to JB’s.

On a side note: I remember when JB HiFi first started. Their first store was at The Centre-way in East Keilor, Melbourne (back in the '70s) where I lived as a kid.

G’day all,

Just as a comparison, here’s a Kprobe scan of a Verbatim DatalifePlus 4x DVD-R (Made in Taiwan) written at 8x with the same data and written/read on the same drives with the same speeds as noted above.

COMMENTS: The PI total is lower but the PO total is much higher than the burn on the 8x media. Still a great burn though. What more can I say?

I think the 8X discs were marked the wrong price - lucky you.
My local JB don’t have any 8X just the 4X ($3.19) which is dearer than Harvey Norman.

They probably don’t have any stock yet - the 8x discs just came in this week. I know the member of staff that orders the stock at the JB that I shop at and she tells me that the 4x and 8x discs are priced the sme.

Thanks, I will keep an eye out. Harvey Norman have the 8X but at double the 4X price.
