Verbatim have released their DataLifePlus US 24x cdrws in Australia and so far I am impressed by the results.

This Disc is designed for CD-RW/COMBO Drive Only.
Disc Type, Material = HSCD-RW, Phase Change
ATIP Lead-in = 97m 34s 24f
Norminal Capacity = 656.40MB (74m 43s 00f)
Disc Manufacturer maybe = Unknown
SMART-BURN Speed Limit = 24X

Just in case of confusion these are actual burns done with Nero 5.5.9.17.

I’m dying to finally test out the success of the 48126S overclocking to 48246S.

Debro, here in Perth, PLE Computers, www.ple.com.au are stocking them. They only arrived yesterday, but I would be surprised if they are not yet available in the ES - we are usually weeks behind!

After reading about the problems others had, I was also anxious to check out how my overclocked 52246S would perform.

The average burn speed of 18.22x is a bit disappointing, but hopefully future firmware will fix that!

Yes, I was referring to just that! The Liteon starts burning at around 10x.
