This little guy is impressive. It's about the size of a small paperback book and has an SD/SDHC slot, two USB ports, an HDMI out, and additional Audio and Video out ports. Perhaps the most impressive part is the currently proposed price: $49. “This device is apparently coming out of China”
I’m shocked. Shocked, I tell you.
I just ordered a nifty Personal Media Player and not surprisingly almost every one of them is made in china. It has a 4.3 inch screen and also outputs to HDMI for your TV and can play up to 1080p videos in most native formats, plus MP3 files and like that, it also has a simple E book reader that at least supports some sort of text files and a FM radio.
Seems like most of the cool devices that are cheap and mostly work come from there, even the name brand ones are probably made there.
I have a WDTV live myself and this guy sounds like a similar idea in a smaller package, though the live really isn’t very big either, but it’s not 49 bucks.
