V0049 still no go for DVD-R MID=AML

These discs now “appear” to write the entire content of the disc (previously was failing on writing the lead-in)
Once the disc is written it is unplayable on all devices (standalone, dvd-rom drive, btc drive)

Strange thing is, that after writing the disc, the MID code no longer appears!
These discs are now meant to be supported in the firmware, and I’ve wasted at least 10 trying them out on about 5 of the previous firmware updates.

Is there anymore support for the BTC drives??
Does Marco or anyone from BTC bother with this forum anymore??

FYI-

Try updating firmware. I’m on XP Pro.

hy turbo,

i think the media is not supportet by fw0049, did it work with a fw before 0049.

if yes, try to contact marco per mail.

the mid is in the list, but ritek g04 is also in and they have a prob with writespeed.

No Firmware has worked for AML that I’ve tried up to v0049
and I’ve wasted about 1/2 a spindle.
For the cost in lost DVDs with this drive, I could’ve bought a different burner at double the price and still have been in front… grr.

AML is low quality Hong Kong media and many drives have problems with them.

They comes from the same factory as AN30, AN31, AN32, INFOSMART01 and AN35 which is all known as low quality media.
