I'd like to add something:
Watching downloaded movies on a TV-screen is a very good idea. Surfing and e-mail isn't The sharpness on a standard TV-screen is way to low for convenient reading/typing. It would only give you a headache actually.
For movies, it's something different; the low resolution of a TV has the advantage that it doesn't show compression-artefacts (such as small blocks for DivX/mpeg files)
A HDTV or PlasmaTV would be better for email and other apps, but a normal TV is limited to movies (at least to my experience it is)
